Sri Simha Koduri, who shot to fame with Madhu Vadalara, Thellavarithe Guruvaram and Dongalunnaru Jagratha, is coming up with an aviation drama titled Ustaad this summer. He’s paired alongside Kavya Kalyanram in the film that also stars Gautham Vasudev Menon, Anu Hasan, Ravindra Vijay, Venkatesh Maha, Ravi Siva Teja and Sai Kiran Yedida. The film’s teaser was unveiled by Rana Daggubati today. Phanideep is the writer and the director.

“Much like Rana, I wasn’t quite familiar with driving a bike before Ustaad. A day before the shoot of the film, I asked the director for a bike so that I could practice it and dropped a bombshell that I couldn’t ride it too well . I intentionally didn’t share this with Phanideep before; I feared if he would replace me. He was, of course, shocked by the revelation,” Sri Simha, on a lighter note, said.

“This bike in the film, similar to the protagonist, is truly the Ustaad of my life. I learnt that bike, discovered myself, made so many memories and it taught me a lot,” he added. Rana Daggubati stated that he has many memories with the team behind Ustaad, including Rakesh Reddy Gaddam, Sri Simha and remained hopeful of the film’s fortunes at the box office.

“If Rana says that the film is indeed a reflection of him, I can vouch for my team confidently and assure that Ustaad will make him proud. The teaser is just a brief glimpse of something bigger. We’ve made an entertaining, interesting film that’s certain to impress you all,” Balagam actress Kavya Kalyanram shared. The film is produced by Rajani Korrapati, Rakesh Reddy Gaddam, Himank Reddy Duvvuru.

Akeeva B has scored the music for Ustaad while Pavan Kumar Pappula and Carthic Cuts are the cinematographer and the editor respectively. Aravind Mule is the production designer.
