The Telugu film Ustaad Bhagat Singh, starring Pawan Kalyan in the lead, also features Raashii Khanna in a key role. The actress plays Shloka in the upcoming Harish Shankar directorial. In a recent interview with The New Indian Express, Raashii Khanna said that she agreed to the project as soon as she heard it was a Pawan Kalyan film and that there is another Telugu star for whose film she would also do the same - Mahesh Babu.
Raashii Khanna on why she immediately said yes to Ustaad Bhagat Singh
Popular actor Raashii Khanna recently revealed that she agreed to do Ustaad Bhagat Singh even before she heard the script, simply because it is a Pawan Kalyan film.
“When I heard that it was Pawan Kalyan garu’s film, I immediately said 'Yes'. Ever since I did my first Telugu film, I have heard so much about his stardom and I have been wanting to act with him at least once,” the actress told the media house, adding that her dream has come true with Ustaad Bhagat Singh.
But not just Pawan Kalyan, the other Telugu star for whom she would immediately say yes is Mahesh Babu. “Yes, if I get an opportunity to work with Mahesh Babu garu,” she added.
Raashi made a special appearance in the Hindi film 120 Bahadur and before that she was seen in the Telugu film Telusu Kada.
When is Ustaad Bhagat Singh releasing
The Telugu film Ustaad Bhagat Singh will release in theatres on March 19, 2026, directly clashing with the Pan-Indian movie Dhurandhar 2, starring Bollywood star Ranveer Singh. Several other big films, including Telugu movies, had backtracked from clashing with Dhurandhar: The Revenge.
The upcoming Telugu film revolves around the titular character, a senior cop played by Pawan Kalyan. Sreeleela plays the female lead in the movie, which also features R. Parthiban.
On the other hand, Pawan Kalyan last starred in They Call Him OG, which was a resounding hit.
