The official teaser of Dilip Prakash-starrer Utsavam has finally come out! The new film, directed by Arjun Sai is bankrolled, by Suresh Patil under the banner of Hornbill Pictures. The makers of the film, who had released the first-look poster of the film on Republic Day, have now released the teaser of the much-awaited Telugu drama. The ensemble cast of the film includes Prakash Raj, Nasser, Brahmanandham, Rajendra Prasad, Ali, Priyadarshi, Brahmaji, Anish Kuruvella, LB Sriram, Raghubabu, Prema, Amani and Sudha. 

Appealing 'rehearsal of Utsavam' that celebrates theatre

The teaser aka 'The Rehearsal of Utsavam' begins with a voiceover saying that an artist might pass away, but their art should always be celebrated. The video then shifts to visuals of LB Sriram, who reflects on his 15-year hiatus from stage roles, while expressing his emotional sentiments as he puts makeup. Dilip’s character carefully observes this sentimental moment, and then visuals showcase glimpses of renowned stage icons like Prakash Raj, Nasser, Brahmanandam, Ali, Raghubabu, and Prema who are seemingly a part of a theatre group. 

The teaser then transitions to Dilip Prakash's romantic scenes with Regina Cassandra. Throughout the teaser, the makers have done a great job at keeping the plot of the film discreet, but Prakash Raj in the end of the teaser is heard saying, “I didn't find it challenging to portray multiple roles on stage, but embodying a human for two hours was difficult”.

From the first glance, the teaser suggests that the film is based on theatre and performing arts, and promises to convey a strong and appealing message about theatre culture and artists. 

The classical background score by Anup Rubens has complemented the plot. The fresh theme, on-screen pairing of Dilip and Regina, and the talented star cast make this film an exciting movie to watch out for! 

Crew behind Utsavam

The film’s technical crew consists of cinematographer Rasool Ellore, composer Anup Rubens, editor Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao and lyricists Vanamali, Bhaskarabhatla, and Anantha Sriram. The makers are yet to announce the release date of the film.
