As promised, the makers of Uunchai have unveiled its first trailer, which promises a feel good tale of friendship. The film is a highly awaited one for cinephiles for a number of reasons. In addition to marking filmmaker Sooraj Barjatya’s return to the director’s chair after almost seven years, the film also brings together Bollywood stalwarts Amitabh Bachchan, Anupam Kher and Boman Irani. So suffice to say, the trailer of the upcoming film certainly got netizens talking.
The trailer follows the story of four lifelong friends, whose lives are turned upside down when one among them die. The three remaining friends decide to embark on a long and treacherous journey to fulfill the lifelong wish of their departed friend- trek Mount Everest.
The delightful feel good story certainly seemed to have struck a chord with viewers, and piqued their interest to see the film on the big screen. “It's going to be a never seen before Cult Friendship Tale. Eagerly waiting for 11th of November”, wrote one user. Another wrote “Only bollywood can make this emotional/inspiring movies. Yes. This is bollywood”.
The fact that three veteran stars of Bollywoood will share the screen in the film is also soemhting that got people excited. “Watta a trailer....All legends in one frame ...The director imagination is good...The story is based on the friendship”, wrote a netizen.
Sooraj’s return to the director’s chair was also celebrated by netizens. “Sooraj Barjatya is back and this time with a friendship movie! #UunchaiTrailer is wonderful”, wrote one user. Another went so far as to state that the trailer was an emotion in itself, and that the director was the reason they wanted to watch the film.
The film also features Parineeti Chopra in an extended cameo, and the actress’ fans couldnt wait to see her in the film as well.
Uunchai, which also stars Sarika and Neena Gupta, will hit the big screens on November 11, 2022.
