Vaa Vaathiyaar OTT release: The film stars Karthi, Krithi Shetty, Rajkiran, and others, with music by Santhosh Narayanan

Actor Karthi who was last seen in Meiyazhagan, will be collaborating with director Nalan Kumarasamy for a film titled Vaa Vaathiyaar. The film has been one of the most expected films this year, and a release date is yet to be announced. However, Vaa Vaathiyaar's OTT rights have been sold to a streaming giant. Prime Video will be premiering the film after the Karthi-starrer finishes theatrical run.
Vaa Vaathiyaar is an upcoming Tamil film which is expected to hit theatres sometime in 2025. The film stars Karthi in the lead role, and is directed by Nalan Kumarasamy who has made films like Soodhu Kavvum, and Kadhalum Kadandhu Pogum.
While a release date for the film is yet to be announced, the digital rights of the film have already been sold. Prime Video has bagged the rights, and will release on the platform after the theatrical run. Besides Karthi, Vaa Vaathiyaar also stars Krithi Shetty, Rajkiran, Sathyaraj, GM Kumar, and others. The technical crew of the upcoming film includes Santhosh Narayanan, who scores the music, with George C Williams cranking the camera. Vetre Krishnan is the editor and DRK Kiran is the art director.
The makers of Vaa Vaathiyaar have not yet announced the release date of the film. However, the promotions have been kickstarted, with the first single, Uyir Pathikaama set to release on Friday. Vaa Vaathiyaar is expected to have a release sometime in summer.
The upcoming project is backed by KE Gnanavelraja under his banner, Studio Green. Vaa Vaathiyaar will see Nalan back in cinemas after a hiatus of nine years. His last theatrical release was the 2016 film Kadhalum Kadandhu Pogum and directed a segment in Tamil anthology film Kutty Story in 2020.
