Dhanveeraah, who was last seen in Jayathirtha’s Kaiva , is ready with his next. Directed by debutant Shankar Raman and produced by Chethan Gowda, the film, Vaamana, has been ready for a while, but it is only now that the team has zeroed in on a release date. It is one of 3 Kannada films that have taken up the Toxic release daet and will hit theatres on April 10, 2025, ahead of which, the trailer of Vamana was released.
Dhanveeraah was and remains a close associate of Challenging Star Darshan, so it comes as no wonder that the Kannada superstar did the honours of releasing the trailer. Although it was thought that Darshan would make a public appearance to launch the trailer, it eventually turned out that he carried out a digital release, urging audiences to support Kannada cinema by watching Vaamana in theatres.

All about Dhanveeraah's next, Vaamana
Darshan described Vaamana as a tale following a beautiful relationship between a mother and son, with Tara playing Dhanveeraah’s mother in the film. The trailer, though, focused more on the action aspects, with multiple stunts fitted in, apart from a sneak peek at the antagonists in the tale. No commercial action drama is complete without a love story and Vaamana too has a romantic angle, with Reeshma Nanaiah filling in as the romantic interest.
The actress, who was last seen in Upendra’s UI, has Vaamana and then DK with Dhruva Sarja in the pipeline. Sampath Raj, Aditya Menon, Avinash, Achyuth Kumar, Cockroach Sudhi, Petrol Prasanna, Shivaraj K.R. Pette, K.G. Sachchu, Arun Sriramaiah and many others are also a part of Vaamana, which is Chethan Gowda’s maiden production venture under the banner of Equinox Global Entertainment.
The story, screenplay and dialogues of the film have been written by Shankar Raman, with music by Ajaneesh B Loknath. Mahen Simha is the cinematographer, Suresh Armugam the editor, Bhushan the choreographer, while Arjun Raj, Vikram More and Jolly Bastian are the stunt directors.
