Vaani Kapoor and Vaibhav Raj Gupta to star in YRF's second OTT series

The objective of Yash Raj Films (YRF) is to create some of the best digital content India has ever seen. The company, which operates under the name YRF Entertainment, has just released Mandala Murders, its second original web show. Vaani Kapoor will play the key role in the suspenseful entertainment, which has been written and directed by Gopi Puthran of Mardaani 2 fame. Vaibhav Raj Gupta will also feature. After his outstanding performance in Gullak, he has been given his first main role. The series will be co-directed by Manan Rawat, who has previously served as an Associate Director on numerous YRF films.

From tomorrow, Gopi will film Mandala Murders in Uttar Pradesh for about a month before moving on to Delhi and finally Mumbai to finish the project. The team will film in Prayagraj, Varanasi, and Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh. The high-budget show will therefore have a broad scope and a grand scale because it was filmed in 5 distinct Indian cities. Surveen Chawla and Jameel Khan (again of Gullak fame) have also been cast in prominent roles in Mandala Murders.

The ambitious OTT program of YRF includes this multi-season show in addition to the eagerly anticipated The Railway Men, which is based on the tragic 1984 Bhopal Gas Tragedy. In the principal characters of this series, R Madhavan, Kay Kay Menon, Divyendu, and Babil Khan pay respect to the courageous railway workers who rescued a great number of lives on this tragic night of destruction and terror.
