Vaani Kapoor calls Abir Gulaal co-star Fawad Khan 'gifted' person: 'He has no ego, and no hassle'

Fawad Khan is all set to make his Bollywood comeback with a romantic comedy film, Abir Gulaal. The film stars Vaani Kapoor in the lead role. The film is scheduled to be released on May 9. The plot revolves around two individuals finding love and healing through each other. Ahead of the release, Vaani and Fawad opened up about their working experience with each other on the sets of Abir Gulaal. 

Vaani Kapoor talks about Fawad Khan

Ahead of the release of Abir Gulaal, Vaani Kapoor and Fawad Khan did an Instagram Live to chat with their fans. During the interaction, Vaani shared her working experience with Fawad. She said, “(He is) One of a kind, I feel. I'm getting greedy, and I hope someday again I get this opportunity. He is easy, has no ego, and no hassle. I mean, he is so gifted that I wanna level up… I love the way you very organically say your lines, because it looks very natural - doesn’t look performative and rehearsed.”

Fawad Khan calls Vaani Kapoor 'gem of a person'

When Vaani asked Fawad to share his experience working with her, the actor said that it was amazing. Vaani playfully responded, “Mene bohot tolerate kiya Fawad ko playfully. (I did tolerate him)” Fawad laughed and said, “Abhi toh main jhuth hi bolunga (Now, I will tell a lie) (laughs). It’s been an absolute pleasure. You are a very good person, a gem of a person.”

Vaani also added that she got lucky, with the film, with a great co-actor said that their on-screen chemistry felt very organic. "I really enjoyed it. And he has some patience to take my b******t because I yap a lot, so he’s good with listening," she said.

Meanwhile, Fawad also said that he took time opening up vut Vaani kept the energy up on screen. 

About Abir Gulaal

Abir Gulaal is a romantic story about two people, Abir (played by Fawad Khan) and Gulaal (played by Vaani Kapoor). They unexpectedly find love while living a challenging life in London. The film explores their journey of healing and growth, where their relationship deepens into love. Gulaal is a chef while Abir is the restaurant owner. 

Meanwhile, directed by Aarti S Bagdi, Abir Gulaal will hit theaters on May 9, 2025.
