Vaani Kapoor on Akshay Kumar's Bell Bottom: I have a small but impactful role

Bell Bottom marks Vaani Kapoor's first non-YRF film and her first outing with Akshay Kumar. Now, during a recent interaction, the Befikre actor revealed that she has a small yet impactful role in the film. Vaani is romantically paired opposite Akshay in Bell Bottom which also features Lara Dutta Bhupathi and Huma Qureshi in pivotal roles. Meanwhile, Kapoor also called her decision on starring in Bell Bottom a 'no brainer'.

On working with Akshay, Vaani told IANS that she is fortunate to have got the opportunity to work with one Hindi cinema's icon. The actor deeply thanked Akshay for his trust and faith in her. 

Talking about her character Vaani said, "I have a small but impactful role in Bell Bottom which I'm hoping will be loved by audiences and critics alike."

She is also thrilled that her journey in cinema so far has enabled her to be a part of Bell Bottom. While calling Akshay a 'larger than life and a great person', Vaani called her decision a 'no-brainer.'

The Shuddh Desi Romance actor also revealed that her dad is a huge Akshay Kumar fan and he was ecstatic that she got the opportunity to work with him.

Vaani recalled that she was amazed at seeing her dad so happy and said, "He was just over the moon when I broke the news to him."

The actor added that Bell Bottom is a memorable film for her and hopes it's loved by the audience worldwide.

The film is directed by Ranjit M Tewari and is an espionage thriller that was shot in the UK entirely during the coronavirus pandemic.

The trailer for Bell Bottom will be out on Tuesday (August 3) and the film is slated to release on August 19, 2021. The film will also be releasing in the 3D format as announced by Akshay on Monday.
