If the buzz in the industry is to be believed, Dhanush is all set to team up with his Karnan director Mari Selvaraj again for a project. We hear that the film will be bankrolled by Dhanush's production house and that the project is likely to take off after Mari Selvaraj wraps up his film with Dhruv Vikram. An official confirmation about the project with Dhanush is awaited.

The last time Dhanush and Mari Selvaraj had come together was for the social drama Karnan, which was critically acclaimed by everyone. The plot was loosely inspired by the Kodiyankulam caste violence that took place in 1995 where a huge force of policemen attacked an all-Dalit village and were reported to have destroyed their property. The film starred Rajisha Vijayan, Lal, Yogi Babu and Natarajan Subramaniam. Karnan also emerged as one of the highest grossers of the year.

Dhanush is currently shooting for his action entertainer with director Arun Matheswaran, Captain Miller. The film has Dhanush sporting a long hair and beard, which has already gone viral on the internet. The star cast includes Sundeep Kishan, Priyanka Mohan, John Kokken, Shiva Rajkumar to name a few. After wrapping up Captain Miller, he will join the sets of Shekar Kammula's trilingual film.

Mari Selvaraj, on the other hand, is currently working on Udhayanidhi Stalin's Maamannan. The film stars Vadivelu, Udhayanidhi Stalin, Fahadh Faasil and Keerthy Suresh and is one of the most anticipated films of the year. Maamannan is also Udhayanidhi Stalin's last film as an actor. Udhayanidhi had earlier stated in an interview that Vadivelu plays the titular character in the film and that he is likely to receive an award for his performance.

After Maamannan, Mari Selvaraj will wrap up his upcoming project with Dhruv Vikram. The youngster plays a Kabaddi player in the film and the shoot is likely to begin after the release of Maamannan. Though there were speculations that the film was dropped, the director confirmed that the project was indeed on.
