Sivakarthikeyan’s musical Vaazhl is all slated to release on OTT. The film, written and directed by Arun Prabu Purushothaman, will release directly on OTT, on Sony Liv.

An exclusive of the platform, Vaazhl is slated for July 16 release. It features Pradeep, Bhanu, Diva and Yathra in the lead roles.

The trailer of the film was released on Sony Liv’s Youtube platform recently. It gives us a view of the story, which is about a missing person.

Vaazhl promises to be a visual delight thanks to the scenic beauty it is shot in. The same is to be expected since the movie also explores an aspect of travel. The character of Prakash is seen confirming the same by stating, “I travel for 4 days. It just feels better to be back at home on the 5th day.”

Covering aspects like a troubled family life, scam, socio-political conflicts, Vaazhl definitely makes up for an interesting watch. It also follows the story of two characters - Prakash and Yaatra - who appear to be interlinked in some way.

Vaazhl is inspired by a true story. The film revolves around two male and two female characters - Yatra, Prakash and Valli’s daughter (name not known yet) along with another character whose name has been kept under the wraps.

Before Vaazhl, Arun Prabhu Purushothaman had helmed Aruvi, which created quite the buzz upon its release. The sociopolitical film was released back in 2017.
