Vadhandhi S2: Sasikumar to play lead role in Prime Video series’ second season

Actor-director Sasikumar whose recent release Tourist Family is currently running in theatres, will be playing the lead role in the upcoming second season of Prime Video’s web series Vadhandhi. The first season had SJ Suryah play the male lead.

Vadhandhi S2: Sasikumar to take over reins from SJ Suryah

Vadhandhi: The Fable of Velonie is a 2022 Tamil mystery crime thriller web series which streams on Prime Video. Written and directed by Andrew Louis and produced by Pushkar-Gayathri, the first season starred SJ Suryah, Sanjana Krishnamoorthy, Laila, Nassar, Smruthi Venkat, Vivek Prasanna, and others. Following this, the second season of the film is in the making with Sasikumar to be playing the lead role. An official announcement is yet to be made.

The first season consists of eight episodes and is about a cop who gets transferred to a new village and has to solve a crime related to a young girl. The series was launched along with Pushkar and Gayathri’s Suzhal: The Vortex.

With Sasikumar playing the lead role as a cop, Vadhandhi will follow the template of a police official posted in a new village trying to solve a crime mystery. More details are expected to be announced later.
