Vaibhav Reddy’s Aalambana to be released on THIS date

Mankatha fame actor Vaibhav Reddy is gearing up for the release of his upcoming fantasy comedy film, titled Aalambana. The makers have now announced that the movie, helmed by debutant director Pari K Vijay, is set to hit the theatres on December 15. The news was shared on their social media handles. The movie also features Parvati Nair in the lead.

Aalambana’s plot, cast and crew

The fantasy comedy film is backed by KJR Studios and Koustubh Entertainment. The film, which is touted to be a parody of Aladdin and Genie’s story, has Munishkanth playing the role of Genie. Apart from Vaibhav and Parvati, the film also features Robo Shankar, Kaali Venkat, Murali Sharma, Dindigul I Leoni and Anandraj. Vedalam fame Kabir Duhan Singh plays the villain in Aalambana.

The film’s music is composed by Hip Hop Tamizha, cinematography is done by Nedunalvaadai fame Vinoth Ramaswamy and editing by San Lokesh. Aalambana was shot in locations like Mysore Palace, Chennai and Pondicherry. The movie, which went on floors towards the end of 2019, wrapped up the shoot in 2021.

Vaibhav Reddy’s next project with Vijay and Venkat Prabhu

The Tamil actor will be part of Vijay-Venkat Prabhu’s highly anticipated project, tentatively titled Thalapathy 68. The film is currently under production, and is expected to roll out in theatres in mid 2024.
