Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, whose pan-Indian film Yashoda, is heading for a release shortly, is also part of another multilingual titled Sabari. The film, written and directed by Anil Katz, will have a simultaneous release in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi languages. Ganesh Venkatraman, Shashank, Mime Gopi too play important roles in the project bankrolled by Mahendra Nath Kondla under Maha Movies. Sabari is presented by Maharshi Kondla.
A key schedule of Sabari, spanning two weeks, was wrapped at picturesque locations in Kodaikanal recently. Several crucial scenes - including an action sequence and a song - from the film featuring Varalaxmi and other lead actors were shot under the supervision of stunt directors Nandu - Noor and dance choreographer Suchitra Chandra Bose. The upcoming schedule of the film will be shot in Visakhapatnam. Meanwhile, the songs, composed by Gopi Sundar, were recorded.
Chitra, Anurag Kulkarni, Ramya Behara, and Amrita Suresh are among a few to have crooned for the album, the makers share. They add that Varalaxmi is cast in a never-seen-before, multilayered emotional character and label the film an engrossing psychological thriller with a crime backdrop. The team is confident that the cast, crew and the film's premise will leave audiences across multiple languages dazzled. Nani Chamidishetty cranks the camera for the film.
Sunaina, Rajashree Nair, Madhunandan, Rashika Bali (Bombay), Viva Raghava, Prabhu, Bhadram, Krishna Teja, Bindu Pagidimarri, Ashritha Vemuganti, Harshini Koduru, Archana Anant, Pramodini, child actors Niveksha, Kritika form the supporting cast. Asish Teja Pulala is the art director while Dharmendra Kakarala is the editor. Rahman, Mittapalli Surender are the lyricists for the album. Sanni Nagababu also assists the team with the screenplay.
