Varasudu box office: Vijay's family drama slows down on the second day in Telugu states

Ace producer, Dil Raju ventured into Tamil cinema with the film Varisu. The family drama has taken a good opening in Tamil Nadu and already grossed the 100 crore mark by now. But the story of the Telugu version, Varasudu, is totally different as it is struggling at the box office on the second day itself say the trade reports.

We at OTTplay reported that the film made five crores on day one in the Telugu states. But things slowed down on day two as the film only make another one and a half crore taking the film's collections to six and a half crores. This amount is quite less considering the buzz with which the film has been released in Telugu states. The occupancy of this film is quite less on a key Sankranthi holiday today.

Dil Raju had his own release with this film which needs to make close to 18 crores to be in a safe zone. By the looks of it, the said figure is tough to achieve in the days to come. Already, Megastar Chiranjeevi's Waltair Veerayya and Veera Simha Reddy are dominating the box office. When compared to the Chiranjeevi starrer, Veera Simha Reddy has also slowed down.

Varasudu had a different release date when compared to Tamil. The film was released on the 11th in Tamil and it came out on the 14th in Telugu. By then, word of mouth spread, and only hardcore Vijay fans are turning out to watch the film. So, in the days to come, we need to see how much will the film makes in the days to come.
