The Telugu version of Thalapathy Vijay's Varisu hit screens on January 14 and since then has been raking in the moolah at the box office. The film starring Vijay and Rashmika Mandanna in the lead, is a complete commercial cocktail directed by Vamshi Paidipally. Vamshi recently watched the film with his father in a theatre in Hyderabad and shared a video of his father's reaction after the film.
In the video, we can seen the father and son hugging each other and the father appreciating Vamshi. Vamshi dropped the video on his social media handle, and wrote, "My Biggest achievement was today when My " Naanna / Appaa " was overwhelmed watching #Vaarasudu ( #Varisu )... This is the moment I will cherish for lifetime.. " You are my HERO Naannaa ".....Love You to Eternity... (sic)."
The film's director Thaman, replied to the tweet saying that since his father is no more, asked Vamshi to give a hug on his behalf as well. "My Father is Not With Me dear @directorvamshi To hug pls give him Mine toooo Neee chennai Vaaa Nanba kondadalaammmm #BlockbusterVarisu (sic)." Soon Vijay fans took to their social media handles and told Thaman that they are all with him and not to worry about the absence of his father.
Varisu hit screens on January 11 to packed theatres and has been called as a treat for Vijay fans. The film has an ensemble cast including Sarathkumar, Shaam, Yogi Babu, Srikanth, Prakash Raj, Ganesh Venkatram, SJ Suryah, VTV Ganesh, Sriman, Jayasudha, Rashmika Mandanna, Sangeetha Krish to name a few. The film took on Ajith's action entertainer Thunivu, which was helmed by H Vinoth and bankrolled by Boney Kapoor.
