The much-awaited lyric video of the second single from Vijay's Varisu, Thee Thalapathy was released today. The high-energetic number is sung by Silambarasan TR and is a complete fanboy number dedicated to Vijay. The lines that go, 'It's time to give it back maame' has already set the internet on fire. The song has a high-octane background with Silambarasan and choreographer Sany shaking a leg to the number and the entire background is literally lit and on fire! Silambarasan is seen sporting a beard and dancing like there's tomorrow, as he grooves to the beat. We get glimpses of Thalapathy as well in between stylishly strutting around. The song was released on the occasion of Vijay completing 30 years in films.

Sharing the song on his social media handle, Silambarasan, too, wrote, "#TheeThalapathy for my dear #Thalapathy @vijay na & darling @MusicThaman Best wishes to the whole team @directorvamshi @Lyricist_Vivek @iamSandy_Off @dop_gkvishnu @SVC_official https://youtu.be/eqBrHvdGbOY #VarisuSecondSingle #Varisu #30YearsOfThalapathyVijay (sic)."

Though the song was supposed to release on the occasion of Thaman's birthday, last month, it was finally released today, much to the excitement of the fans.

Varisu has an ensemble cast including Rashmika Mandanna as the leading lady, Prakash Raj, Sarathkumar, Prabhu, Shaam, Srikanth, Khushbu, Yogi Babu, Jayasudha, Sangeetha Krish, Samyuktha Shanmughanathan, Nandini Rai, Ganesh Venkatraman, Sriman, VTV Ganesan, John Vijay, Bharath Reddy, Sanjana and others. The film marks the maiden collaboration between Vijay and Thozha director Vamshi Paidipally. While the cinematography is by Karthik Phalani and editing is by Praveen KL. The film is slated to hit screens on Pongal 2023 and will take on Ajith's action entertainer Thunivu.
