Actor Shaam, who was recently seen in a power-packed role in Varisu, has bagged his next. He will play the lead in Vijay Milton's upcoming directorial. It is said that the actor will be sporting an all-new look for the film. Ramya Nambeesan is likely to play the leading lady in it. Shaam played Vijay's brother in his last outing Varisu. His role as a power and money-hungry Ajay won accolades from many. It looks like the actor is now reaping the benefits of the same by bagging his next. We hear that Shaam might be soon seen in a few other films as well.

Shaam had teamed up with Vijay after a span of almost two decades. The last time the duo were seen on screen was in SJ Suryah's sophomore directorial Kushi (2000)Shaam appeared in an uncredited role as Vijay's friend in the film. Jyotika played the leading lady in it. The following year, Shaam made his debut as a lead actor with cinematographer and director Jeeva's 12B. He was seen opposite two of the most happening leading ladies of the 2000s, Simran and Jyotika. The film was loosely based on the American film, Sliding Doors.

Shaam then went on to work in a number of films, which included Yai! Nee Romba Azhaga Irukey!, Lesa Lesa, Ullam Ketkume, Iyarkai, ABCD, Inba, Kick, Thillalangadi, Oosaravelli, Purambokku Engira Podhuvudamai, Naanga Romba Busy to name a few. It looks like the brief lull in his career has come to an end after his appearance in Varisu.

In the meantime, Vijay Milton has wrapped up work on his upcoming directorial, Mazhai Pidikatha Manithan, which stars Vijay Antony and Megha Akash. The film is said to be an action thriller and will also feature Saranya Ponvannan, Thalaivasal Vijay, Murali Sharma, Sarath Kumar and Vijayakanth, thus marking the latter's comeback after a long hiatus.
