The trailer of Thalapathy Vijay's Varisu was released last evening and ever since the release, fans of the actor have been widely sharing the same on their social media page. And now, the film's producers have shared that the trailer has clocked 20 million views in less than 24 hours. Taking to their social media handle, Sri Venkateswara Creations wrote, "Done & Dusted 20M+ real time views now! (sic)." The trailer has been trending on top on social media.

In the trailer, Vijay is seen doling out many punch dialogues in his trademark style. Vijay's dialogue that the entire audience has their eyes only on one person, is sure to bring the house down. Going by the glimpse, Varisu seems to be a family entertainer cum drama, with Sarathkumar playing the patriarch of a business family. Prakash Raj plays the antagonist and the combo of Vijay and Prakash Raj, who have played hero in films like Ghilli and Pokkiri, is one to look forward to.

Varisu marks the maiden collaboration of Vijay and Vamshi Paidpally, along with the film's leading lady, Rashmika Mandanna. The film has an ensemble star cast with Sarathkumar, Prakash Raj, Jayasudha, Shaam, Srikanth, Sangeetha Krish, Bharath Reddy, Khushbu, Yogi Babu, VTV Ganesh, Ganesh Venkatram, Samyuktha, Sriman to name a few. Music for the film is by Thaman and the songs Ranjithame, Vaa Thalaiva, Thee Thalapathy and Soul of Varisu have all gone on to become chartbusters.

The film has cinematography by Karthik Palani and editing by Praveen KL. The film is bankrolled by Dil Raju of Sri Venkateswara Creations and PVP Cinema. Varisu will clash with Ajith's heist thriller Thunivu on January 11. Thunivu is helmed by H Vinoth and produced by Boney Kapoor and the trailer of the action entertainer was released as a New Year special on December 31.
