Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari Gets a Release Date
Written and directed by Shashank Khaitan, Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari features an ensemble cast, including Varun Dhawan, Janhvi Kapoor, Rohit Saraf, and Sanya Malhotra. Backed by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, the film went on floors last year.

As per reports, the team recently completed reshoots, adding an elaborate wedding sequence and two new songs to enhance the film. While the exact storyline remains under wraps, expectations for the movie continue to rise.
Shashank Khaitan Also Developing a Netflix Show?
After making headlines with his directorial debut Madgaon Express in 2024, Kunal Kemmu is now back in the news—this time for his involvement in an upcoming Netflix series helmed by Shashank Khaitan. This marks Shashank’s foray into long-format content, and he has chosen an exciting new subject titled Single Papa.
A source close to the development told Pinkvilla, "Shashank has developed a subject titled Single Papa and believes that this family entertainer has the potential to be a perfect sitcom for viewers at home. He has partnered with Netflix for the project and is excited to take it on floors in Summer 2025, after the release of Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari.”
The source further revealed, "It’s a slice-of-life web series designed for a family audience, and Shashank has roped in Kunal Kemmu to play the titular role of Single Papa. Apart from Kunal, a large ensemble cast is being put together, with an emphasis on actors with strong comic timing. A full-fledged announcement will be made once the entire cast is finalized."
Shashank Khaitan Developing Another Film?
In addition to his Netflix project, reports suggest that Shashank Khaitan is also working on a new theatrical release featuring young actors. "It’s a film along the lines of Pyaar Ka Punchnama, and Shashank is passionately developing it for the big screen. This will be a home production for the filmmaker," the source concluded.
