Varun Dhawan sends birthday wishes to Gigi Hadid with a throwback picture

Varun Dhawan has wished Gigi Hadid on her birthday with a throwback picture of his performance at the launch of Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Center in Mumbai, recently. The actor took to Instagram and shared the picture of him lifting Gigi on his status. He captioned the picture, “Happy bday @gigihadid Keep shining, keep smiling.”

In the picture, Varun is seen wearing his silver tshirt and black pants while Gigi looks ravishing in her white saree with a statement gold blouse and matching gold accessories.

Varun did a dance performance at the launch of NMACC earlier this month. During his performance, he invited Gigi on stage and lifted her in his arms. After he put her down, she gave her a peck on the cheek which landed the actor in the center of controversy. As the video went viral, people trolled Varun for this behaviour.

Varun reacted to the controversy stating that it was a planned performance. “I guess today you woke up and decided to be woke. So lemme burst ur bubble and tell u it was planned for her to be on stage so find a new Twitter cause to vent about rather then going out and doing something about things. Good morning,” he wrote on Twitter.

Supermodel Gigi also posted the same picture on her social media handle with the caption, “Varun Dhawan making my Bollywood dreams come true.”

On the work front, Varun was last seen in Amr Kaushik’s Bhediya, alongside Kriti Sanon. We will be seen next in Nitesh Tiwari’s Bawaal. He will also make his OTT debut this year with Indian version of Citadel, alongside Samantha Ruth prabhu and directed by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK.
