Just a few weeks back, there was news about the father-son duo of Dvaid Dhawan and Varun Dhawan all set to be coming together for a film. With the success of films like Main Tera Hero, Judwaa 2 and and Coolie No. 1 behind them, it was only natural that the audiences were super excited to see Papa Dhawan directing his superstar son Varun Dhawan. The good news is that there is a big update on that front.
Varun Dhawan to romance Mrunal Thakur on screen?
And the big update on the said film’s front is that, the lady who will be seen romancing Varun Dhawan on the silver screen is none other than the lady of the moment Mrunal Thakur, as per a source-based report in Pinkvilla. With this, the said film will mark the coming together of the fresh mint pairing of Varun Dhawan and Mrunal Thakur for a film.
Film to be shot in multiple locations
The said report also added that, both, Mrunal Thakur and David Dhawan already have had a couple of meetings. As for the film., it is expected to roll in May or June of this year. Besides Mrunal Thakur, there is also a second female lead that the film has, whose name is expected to be revealed soon after she gets signed, as per the said report. As for the film’s locations, it is said to be multiple locations across India as well as a few foreign countries
As for Varun Dhawan, he is having his plate full with film commitments. Besides the aforementioned film, Varun Dhawan will be seen in the upcoming film Baby John. Readers may recall that, till the time the official title of the film was revealed, the makers were calling it as VD 18. Besides Varun Dhawan, the film also stars Keerti Suresh and Wamiqa Gabbi as the leading ladies. While the film is being produced by Murad Khetani, Priya Atlee, and Jyoti Deshpande, it is being directed by A. Kaleeswaran.
Besides this, Varun Dhawan will also be seen in Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK’s Citadel, in which there is Samantha Ruth Prabhu as the leading lady.
