Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam, the blockbuster commercial entertainer, marked the first collaboration of Ponram and Sivakarthikeyan.
Director Ponrom earlier took to social media to share the intriguing news of developing a sequel to the blockbuster comedy entertainer of Sivakarthikeyan’s Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam.
According to his social media post, Ponram ensured development of a sequel to the classic comedic entertainer, Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam. He also talked about Sivakarthiyen becoming a well-established and an experienced actor with this film and he will be on the lookout for a fresh face to feature in the upcoming sequel. He ended the message with a blast by captioning, ‘Podu da vediya’, which roughly translates to ‘fire up the crackers.’
Talking about Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam, the blockbuster commercial entertainer marked the first collaboration of Ponram and Sivakarthikeyan. They also worked in two entertainers consequently, Rajini Murugan and Seema Raja. Sri Divya stars as the female lead opposite the Maan Karate star. We also got to see the quirky and protective onscreen father of the girl, Sathyaraj which earned him a lot of appreciation. Even today, Sivakarthikeyan’s character from the movie, Bose Pandi is one of his most lauded characters.
Meanwhile, Sivakarthikeyan is currently awaiting the release of Nelson Dilipkumar’s Doctor which is coming out on October 9 in theatres. He also has the upcoming sci-fi comedy flick, Ayalaan and Don under his belt.
Ponram, on the other hand, is currently directing the upcoming cop-action drama starring Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi, tentatively titled VJS46.
