Vasantha Kokila OTT release date: When and where to watch Bobby Simha and Kashmira Pardeshi’s film

Bobby Simha, who delivered a commendable performance as Solomon in this year’s Sankranthi biggie Waltair Veerayya, was also seen in a lead role in another movie titled Vasantha Kokila in February. Vinaro Bhagyamu Vishnu Katha girl Kashmira Pardeshi was cast as the female lead in the film directed by Ramanan Purushothama.

Vasantha Kokila simultaneously released in Telugu and Tamil languages on the same day in theatres. The Tamil version is titled Vasantha Mullai. Rajani Talluri and Reshmi Simha bankrolled the film under Lead India Entertainment, SRT Entertainments and Mudhra's Film Factory. After a brief theatrical run, the film is gearing up for an OTT premiere.

The story revolves around a corporate employee Rudhra (Bobby Simha) who is under immense pressure to finish a project. When he faints under mysterious circumstances one day, a doctor says that he is a victim of the ‘blackout’ disorder and asks him to rest as much as he could. When Rudhra and his girlfriend Nisha (Kashmira Paradesi) stay at a hotel named Vasantha Kokila at a hill station, a series of eerie events derail their existence.

Telugu/Tamil OTT platform aha has acquired the post-theatrical streaming rights of the bilingual. The film began streaming on the platform today. Rajesh Murugesan composed the music for the film while Gopi Amarnath is the cinematographer. Vivek Harshan edited the film and the other crew comrpises production designer Nagaraj RK, dialogue writer Rajesh A Moorthy and action directors Stunner Sam and Stunt Silva.

Ramanan Purushothama also wrote the story of the film.Nandini NK, Raksha Ravikumar handled the cosutmes while M Sherif and Vijisatish choreographed the dance moves. The film received mixed reviews upon release, with critics hailing the performances of the leads, who also added that the treatment could have been more impactful.
