Vasishta N Simha’s Love Li aiming for an August release

Around the time of his wedding earlier this year, actor Vasishta N Simha was running helter-skelter, trying to wind up his commitments for the film Love Li. The film, according to the team is a realistic love story, in which Vasishta plays a rugged character, who takes to violence owing to certain circumstances in his life. Directed by debutant Chetan Keshav, the film has two heroines, Stefy Patel and Sameeksha. The team recently released the first video song from the film, and announced that they are looking at bringing Love Li to theatres in August this year.

“As a team, we are looking forward to the day that we begin talking about what Love Li is all about. But there’s still time and the full video of the title track is only the first step in the film’s promotion. Having said that, I must add that Love Li is a commercial film, but one that is about family values. We are looking at releasing the film in theatres in August this year,” said Vasishta at the song launch that was attended by Crazy Star Ravichandran, Real Star Upendra and his wife Priyanka, as well as Nenapirali Prem, who was, at one time, known as Kannada cinema’s Lovely Star.

The actor thanked the team profusely for entrusting him with the responsibility of this film, as he is still in the transition phase from antagonist to protagonist.

Vasishta, meanwhile, had the first release of the year in Yadha Yadha Hi, which paired him with his wife, Hariprriya. The Evaru remake had opened to good reviews. Vasishta played a senior police officer in the film, who is murdered by Hariprriya’s character, under a self defence pretext. The rest of the film revolves around the investigation into his murder.
