Love, passion, action and the madness that a lover has, reflects all over in the teaser of the upcoming Marathi language film titled Ved starring Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia Deshmukh as the lead pair. In the film, the real-life couple also play husband and wife. Interestingly, the couple is appearing in a Marathi film as an on-screen pair for the first time.

To add to that, this also happens to be the directorial debut of Riteish who has earlier produced Marathi films but never directed one.

The teaser of the film shows Riteish as someone who explains what exactly happens when love comes knocking at one's door and how that can drive the person crazy, driving the person to go to any extent.

Genelia Deshmukh, who is known for her cute and youthful look on screen, appears as a Marathi married woman wearing saree and bindi.

The music of the film is equally captivating and has been created by the much-decorated music director-duo, Ajay- Atul. The screenplay of the film is by Rushikesh Turai, Sandeep Patil and Riteish Deshmukh.

For the unversed, Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia Deshmukh have together appeared in Bollywood films such as Tujhe Meri Kasam, Masti and Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya.

Though Genelia has appeared in cameos in some of the Marathi films such as Lai Bhaari and Mauli, this will be the first time when the actress will be doing a full-length Marathi feature film.

On the other hand, Riteish has had quite an eventful 2022, with a Netflix release titled film Plan A Plan B, a special appearance in Ek Villain Returns, and even hosted a non-fiction show Case Toh Baanta Hai on Amazon miniTV.

Recently, both the actors appeared in the Hindi film Mister Mummy but failed to impress the critics and audience alike.

Produced under the banner Mumbai Film Company, the film Ved, also featuring Jiya Shankar, Ashok Saraf, Shubhankar Tawde, among others, is all set to release theatrically on December 30, 2022.
