Vedha is an incredibly special film for Shiva Rajkumar. Not only does it mark his milestone of 125 films as a leading man but it also comes as the maiden venture under his home banner of Geetha Pictures, which is headed by his wife Geetha Shiva Rajkumar. And to make things all the more delightful, Shiva Rajkumar and the entire team of Vedha have been garnering positive reviews from all over with the fans, in particular, showering a lot of praise on their efforts.

In a recent media interaction, the veteran actor shared a few key details about the making of Vedha, also talking about his motivation to pick a pertinent topic for his landmark project. In the same vein, he was asked about his late brother & actor Puneeth Rajkumar and what his reaction would have been after watching Vedha.

"Appu (Puneeth Rajkumar) knew about Vedha, knew the story, and, in fact, we were supposed to launch our banner back in November of 2021 with the shoot scheduled to begin in the second or third week of that month. Also, A. Harsha was meant to narrate a story for the two of us to star in together - we had already listened to two ideas but felt that we could do better and the third narration was in store. Unfortunately, things took a rather tragic turn," said Shiva Rajkumar.

Although Shiva Rajkumar has been in the business for more than 36 years, his on-screen collaborations with younger brother Puneeth Rajkumar have been very few and far in between. The latter played the younger version of Kannappa in the 1988 film Shiva Mecchida Kannappa with Shiva Rajkumar playing the character in the adult life and the duo's only on-screen appearance came in 2022 in Chethan Kumar's James (which also starred Raghavendra Rajkumar).
