Arun Vaidyanathan, who made his directorial debut with the acclaimed film Achchamundu Achchamundu, had announced recently that he was all set to make his third project in Tamil. In a chat with TOI, he had revealed that it will be a children's film with ample drama and humour elements in it. The shooting of the film, according to him, will commence in September and will be wrapped up in a schedule or two in Chennai. The makers are also planning to screen the movie in several international film festivals. The story will be centred around four children, and the director has finalized the cast to play the four characters.
The latest on the project is that popular veena maestro Rajhesh Vaidhya has been roped in as the music composer of this untitled movie. The film marks his debut as a musician in movies. He has earlier composed for serials, though. Rajhesh, who has a slew of achievements and recognitions under his kitty, took to his social media account to express happiness over coming on board for the project. He tweeted, "Stepping into a new world as a Film Music Composer…Need all your luv and support." He has also worked under a few music directors in Tamil, including Ilaiyaraaja and AR Rahman.
Arun, whose last outing was Arjun-starrer Nibunan, which was later dubbed in Telugu as Vismaya, recently said in an interview that he decided to make children's movie after he felt that kids have been confined to their homes for more than a year because of the pandemic. He added that the cast and crew of the project will be announced later by the makers. A few pictures featuring Rajhesh and Arun were released by the makers as soon as the news of the former composing for the project was announced.
