Veera Dheera Sooran: Part 2, starring Vikram in the lead role, has collected Rs 6.65 crore in total, as per the early estimates from the two-day collections so far at the box office. The film's box office suffered from the first day collections due to the delay and cancellations of shows.
Vikram's Veera Dheera Sooran: Part 2 released in theatres on Thursday. However, it was not a smooth release after all. The FDFS shows at 9 am and the afternoon shows suffered due to cancellations because of legal issues. A court stay order was issued on the film. After settling the dispute, Veera Dheera Sooran: Part 2 shows began at 5 pm on Thursday and are now running in cinemas with all shows.
Because of this, the film’s two-day collection at the box office stands at Rs 6.25 crore, as per Sacnilk report. With the film missing about two sets of show,s causing a dent in the collection, Veera Dheera Sooran: Part 2 is expected to get picked up over the weekend. The makers had elaborately promoted the film across India.
Veera Dheera Sooran: Part 2 is written and directed by filmmaker SU Arun Kumar, who previously made the critically acclaimed film Chithha starring Siddharth. Headlined by Vikram, the film also stars Dushara Vijayan, Suraj Venjaramoodu, SJ Suryah and others. The film has music by GV Prakash Kumar, with Theni Eswar cranking the camera.
A rustic action thriller, Veera Dheera Sooran: Part 2 is about the vengeance battle between a powerful head in a village and a cop who is out there to encounter the former and his son. In between this, the protagonist gets caught and is asked to perform one last hit job. It is to be noted that the film is the second part, with the prequel set to be released later.
