Tamil 2025 action thriller Veera Dheera Sooran: Part 2 starring Vikram in the lead role, has completed one week since its release, and its domestic box office collection stands at Rs 28 crore. The film released in Tamil and Telugu on March 27, in theatres after much legal hassle.
The makers of Veera Dheera Sooran: Part 2 made a different attempt by releasing the sequel first, with the first part set to be released later. Written and directed by SU Arun Kumar, Veera Dheera Sooran: Part 2 is an action thriller featuring Vikram in the lead role, playing a former henchman Kaali.
It was not a cakewalk for Veera Dheera Sooran: Part 2 on its first day of release, given how it faced legal hurdles leading to FDFS and noon shows getting cancelled. However, the shows began to run from 5pm from March 27. In its one week of run so far, the action thriller has minted Rs 28 crore at the domestic box office so far, and capitalised on the Eid weekend. The film is expected to have a good run, at least until April 10, when Ajith Kumar’s Good Bad Ugly is set to take over major screens.
Vikram, who is known for doing versatile roles, collaborated with director SU Arun Kumar for the first time with Veera Dheera Sooran: Part 2. Apart from him, the film also stars SJ Suryah, Dushara Vijayan and Suraj Venjaramoodu and others.
The film revolves around the rivalry between a cop and powerful family, who are out there to finish off each other. Caught between them is Kaali, who is now wanting to lead a peaceful life after being a henchman. When he is called to do a last hit job, the film revolves around the aftermath of it.
