Actor Vikram’s Veera Dheera Sooran: Part 2 did not get a favourable head start at the box office, with the makers entangled with financial and legal troubles. This has caused the film to miss morning and matinee shows on the day of its release on March 27. However, following this, the issues were sorted with the shows starting from the evening.

As Veera Dheera Sooran: Part 2 is set for OTT premiere on Prime Video on April 24, the film will end its theatrical run. As per the Sacnilk report, the film has made Rs 65 crore at the box office worldwide, with the major share coming from India with Rs 42.5 crore. The Anniyan actor’s film could not be said to have witnessed a blockbuster run, and trails behind Pradeep Ranganathan’s Dragon, and Ajith Kumar-starrer Good Bad Ugly and Vidaamuyarchi.

Written and directed by SU Arun Kumar, the film is an action drama starring SJ Suryah, Dushara Vijayan, Suraj Venjaramoodu and others. The film revolves around the rivalry between a powerful man and an egoistic cop, and caught between the two is the protagonist who previously worked as a henchman. The film is produced by Riya Shibu under HR Pictures and has music by GV Prakash Kumar. Veera Dheera Sooran: Part 2 opened to mixed to positive reviews.
