Veera Dheera Sooran teaser: Chiyaan Vikram in full action mode; rustic thriller gears up for a January 2025 release

Veera Dheera Sooran, the highly anticipated rustic thriller which features Chiyaan Vikram in the lead role, is nearing final stages of its production. The long-awaited film, which marks the National Award-winning actor’s first onscreen collaboration with Chittha director SU Arun Kumar, created quite a stir on social media with its announcement teaser, and posters. After a long wait, the makers dropped the Veera Dheera Sooran teaser on social media, today (December 9, 2024).

Veera Dheera Sooran teaser is out

The 1.47-minute-long Veera Dheera Sooran teaser suggests that the highly anticipated project is an out-and-out action thriller, which is set against a rural backdrop. Chiyaan Vikram’s character is introduced as a complete family man, who shares a strong bond with his little daughter, and wife, played by Dushara Vijayan. However, the tonality changes with the entry of a short-tempered cop, played by SJ Suryah, and a gangster, essayed by Malayalam actor Suraj Venjaramoodu. The protagonist, played by Vikram, is seen slowly getting into this violent ride.

Veera Dheera Sooran to get a January 2025 release

Chiyaan Vikram’s role in Veera Dheera Sooran is a middle-aged man from a small town named Thiruttani of Tiruvallur district in Chennai. The Veera Dheera Sooran teaser confirms that the SU Arun Kumar directorial is gearing up for a January 2025 release. Even though the makers are yet to finalise the release date, the recent updates suggest that the makers are keen to get a Pongal 2025 release, for the Chiyaan Vikram starrer. In that case, Veera Dheera Sooran might have a clash with the upcoming Ajith Kumar starrer, Vidaamuyarchi.

GV Prakash Kumar has composed the songs and the original score. Theni Eswar is the director of photography. Prasanna GK handles the editing. The Chiyaan Vikram starrer is produced by Riya Shibu, under the banner HR Pictures. The official trailer of the film, along with the release date, is expected to be revealed by the end of December 2024.
