Duniya Vijay is all set to foray into new territory with the upcoming release Veera Simha Reddy. The Telugu film stars none other than superstar Nandamuri Balakrishna and Vijay's debut outing in Tollywood will see him as the chief antagonist, Musali Madugu Pratap Reddy. The Telugu audience has been nothing but graceful in welcoming the Kannada actor who himself has shared time and again that he couldn't have asked for a better opportunity for his new inning.

At the recent grand Veera Simha Reddy pre-release event, Duniya Vijay impressed everyone present and also the many million netizens with his winning speech. Taking the stage along with the film's lead actress Honey Rose, Vijay presented his most charming self in front of a huge audience and floored them all with his Telugu speech. His 'Jai Balayya' chant and other compliments showered on Balakrishna evoked a loud cheer from the crowd and prompted Balayya himself to break into a wide smile.

"I must thank Gopi sir (director Gopichand Malineni), Mythri Movies, and of course, our favourite Balayya Babu sir. If I were to say something about my experience working Balakrishna sir, I can say that performing in front of a lion is incredibly difficult! You need to have those guts and I, too, would pray before I went out to act and somehow got it right. And this Sankranthi, the Ugra Narasimhudu will appear on screen in both peaceful and raging avatars - if you seek peace, you will get just that but if you were to look for pure rage in him, you will get that in abundance. This film, which is both entertaining and emotional, is already a super-duper hit and it is releasing in theatres only to justify that. I, too, am waiting to watch it on the big screen. I won't forget the opportunity Gopi sir gave me and I would like to thank everybody for this," said the Salaga actor.

Veera Simha Reddy, which marks Nandamuri Balakrishna's 107th outing as a leading man, also stars Shruti Haasan, Honey Rose, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, and others. The film releases in theatres on January 12, 2023.
