Venkat Prabhu’s upcoming production venture Kasada Thapara, is slated for direct-to-OTT release. The makers have confirmed that the movie will be a SonyLiv exclusive release.

Kasada Thapara is an anthology consisting of six segments. While it would have six different directors of photography, editors and music directors, the film in itself is helmed by Chimbu Deven alone.

Jointly produced by Venkat Prabhu under his Black Ticket Company banner and Trident Arts, Kasada Thapara will see an ensemble cast consisting of Sundeep Kishan, Harish Kalyan, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Regina Cassandra, Shanthanu Bhagyaraj, Premgi Amaren, Venkat Prabhu and Vijayalakshmi.

The six editors who will be working on the film are: Anthony, Praveen KL, Vivek Harshan, Mu Kasi Viswanathan, Raja Mohammed and Ruben. Raja Mohammad had joined hands with Chimbu for two films previously, including Oru Kanniyum Moonu Kalavaanikalum- .

A. Sreekar Prasad, who earlier worked as film editor for Chimbu's Puli film, revealed the six editors. Similarly, cinematographer P. C. Sreeram revealed the team of six cinematographers who will be working on the film: Vijay Milton, M. S. Prabhu, Balasubramaniem, S. R. Kathir, R. D. Rajasekhar and Sakthi Saravanan. S. R. Kathir had also collaborated with Chimbu as the cinematographer in Oru Kanniyum Moonu Kalavaanikalum.

The list of music directors working on the anthology was revealed by Gangai Amaren. All of them - Yuvan Shankar Raja, Santhosh Narayanan, Sam CS, Sean Roldan, Premgi and Ghibran will be working with the director for the first time.
