Venkatesh aces his salt and pepper look in a birthday glimpse from Netflix's Rana Naidu

If there's one Telugu star who has understood the art of balancing commercial diktats and satisfying his creative urge as an artiste, it's got to be Venkatesh Daggubati. The actor, who entered the film industry with K Raghavendra Rao's Kaliyuga Pandavulu, turns 61 today and continues to stay relevant in the minds of film-going audiences across multiple generations. Commemorating his 61st birthday, streaming giant Netflix shared an attractive still of the actor's look from his first OTT original, Rana Naidu, where he co-stars his nephew Rana Daggubati.

Wishing the actor on his birthday, the streamer, from its social media handle dedicated for South Indian content, shared, "Inthaki emocchu? Friends tho unna, family tho unna, ontariga unna Venky Mama cinemalu enjoy cheyadam vacchu. Any genre, any emotion, single name. Happy Birthday @VenkyMama #HappyBirthdayVictoryVenkatesh." The image features Venkatesh in a salt-pepper look from Rana Naidu, donning a blue-coloured shirt, where he sports a smile while showing a passport sized photo of a person from his wallet. The actor looks absolutely stylish in the new avatar.

Rana Naidu, the official official adaptation of an American drama series Ray Donovan, revolves around a character who's reportedly the go-to guy for everyone in Bollywood when they have a problem. Karan Anshuman is the showrunner, who also co-directs the original along with Suparn Verma. The show is produced by Locomotive Global Inc.

At the time of the launch, Venkatesh, while talking about Rana Naidu, added, “I cannot wait to work with Rana (Daggubati), we are going to have a blast on-set and this show is the perfect project for us to work on. I am a huge fan of Ray Donovan myself and the entire team is pulling in all the stops to ensure we do justice to it.” The shoot of Rana Naidu has already commenced, while it's expected to release in 2022.
