PremiumVenkatesh’s actioner Saindhav formally launched; top Hindi actor roped in as a baddie
The first glimpse of the pan-Indian film, written and directed by Sailesh Kolanu, was unveiled yesterday

Director Sailesh Kolanu and Venkatesh Daggubati is an unconventional director-actor collaboration that not many could foresee within and beyond the industry. The duo is teaming up for Saindhav a.k.a Venky75 (75th film of Venkatesh), a project formally announced yesterday. Venkat Boyanapalli of Niharika Entertainment is bankrolling the actioner that was launched today.
Saindhav took off with a pooja ceremony held in Ramanaidu Studios amidst several top names from the industry including Nani, Rana Daggubati, Naga Chaitanya, producers Suresh Babu, Dil Raju, Naveen Yerneni, director K Raghavendra Rao, to name a few. Rana, Naga Chaitanya and Suresh Babu handed over the script to the makers, with K Raghavendra Rao sounding the clapboard and Dil Raju switching on the camera.
However, the biggest surprise was the announcement of Nawazuddin Siddique as a baddie in Saindhav. The project will mark his Telugu debut. The presence of Nawazuddin is certainly a shot in the arm for the team, given the project is being planned as a pan-Indian release. Saindhav will release in five languages in total - Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada.
Other attendees in the event included producers Shirish, Mohan Cherukuri, Vijayendar Reddy, Anil Sunkara, TG Vishwa Prasad, Vivek Kuchibhotla, Gopi Achanta, Sahu Garapati, Sudhakar Cherukuri, Bandla Ganesh, Naga Vamsi, MS Raju, Bellamkonda Suresh, Sudheer and Nizam Sashi besides directors Vimal Krishna and B Gopal.
The special glimpse of Saindhav released to terrific responses all over yesterday. The film is set in a fictitious port city called Chandraprastha. S Manikandan will crank the camera for the project while Garry BH is the editor. Santosh Narayanan will score the music for the same and the crew also comprises production designer Avinash Kolla. Kishore Thallur is the co-producer.
Saindhav will go on floors soon. More details around the cast will be shared by the team soon. The film is expected to release in late 2023 or early 2024.
