Young actor Niranjan Sudhindra’s third film as leading man, Hunter – On Duty, is adding some Bollywood sheen to its cast. According to a source, the team has roped in none other than veteran actor Kabir Bedi for an undisclosed role in the film. The source adds that the actor is expected to fly to Bengaluru and then head to Mysuru for the next schedule of the film. More details are expected to be revealed once he is on set of the film. Kabir has been quoted as saying that his national career would not be complete without south Indian films and has done movies in Telugu, Malayalam and Tamil earlier.

Hunter is director Vinay Krishna’s second film after Seizer with the late Chiranjeevi Sarja. Trivikram Sapalya, who had produced Seizer is backing Hunter as well. Mollywood actress Sowmya Menon of Neeyum Njanum fame, will make her Kannada film debut opposite Niranjan.

The film, which is being prepped as a pan-India project, has music by rapper-composer Chandan Shetty. Hunter, which went on floors in February this year, sees Niranjan in multiple shades. The film also has power-house performers like Prakash Raj, Nasser and Suman on its cast. Niranjan’s uncle Upendra and his wife Priyanka had launched the film during its muhurtha this year.

Meanwhile, Niranjan, whose debut film Namma Hudugaru released this year and tanked at the box office, is eagerly looking forward to his next, Super Star to give his career the push it needs. He has been quoted as saying, though, that despite the fact that there were setbacks with the making of Namma Hudugaru, it will remain special to him, as it was his debut as leading man. Beside the thriller Hunter, the young actor is also committed to a film with Nagashekar, called Q. An action thriller, Q, is believed to revolve around the subject of university question papers being leaked. There have been rumours that Maine Pyaar Kiya fame Bhagyashree’s daughter Avantika Dassani was headed to Kannada cinema with Q, but there has been no confirmation from the actress.
