Veteran actor Vikram Gokhale slipped into a coma, confirms wife Vrushali Gokhale

The famous actor Vikram Gokhale was reported dead on Wednesday night, while his wife Vrushali Gokhale clarified the news and informed that the veteran artist is alive and is currently on ventilators as he slipped into a coma on Wednesday afternoon.

According to a report on TOI, Vrushali also informed that Vikram Gokhale has suffered a multi-organ failure. She also added that he has been admitted to the Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital of Pune since November 5.

Talking to the portal, Vrushali said that her husband slipped into a coma yesterday (Wednesday) afternoon and since then he has been unresponded to touch and has been on the ventilator. "Doctors will decide tomorrow morning what to do, depending on whether he's improving, sinking or still not responding," she added.

On the other hand, the actor's daughter informed the news agency ANI that he is still in a very critical condition as he is on the life support, however, he has not passed.

The news of the actor's death surfaced on the internet late Wednesday night, which witnessed the condolences pouring in on social media, not only from the fans but a few famous celebrities and actors as well including Ajay Devgn, and Jaaved Jaaferi among others.

Vikram Gokhale, a National Award winner, has been seen in multiple films in different languages. From Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam with Ajay Devgn to Bhool Bhulaiyaa with Akshay Kumar, the actor has played plenty of versatile roles in films across genres.
