Bobby Simha, who was last seen in 777 Charlie, featuring Rakshit Shetty, has signed his next, an action thriller. Titled Thadai Udai, the shoot for the film has been going on in full swing.

Directed by debutant NS Rakesh, the latest buzz is that veteran actor-comedian Senthil and his son Mani Prabhu would be playing father and son.
The supporting cast includes Misha Narang, Senthil, Rohini, Sarath Ravi and Deepak Paramesh.
Bankrolled by B Rajasekar and Reshmi Simha under the banner of Mudhra's Film Factory and Aarudhra Pictures, Thadai Udai has lyrics by Vairamuthu, music by B Aathif, cinematography by Demel Xavier Edwards, and action-choreography by Ganesh.

The film was officially launched with a puja ceremony this May.
In an interview with Cinema Express, Bobby Simha had said he's also open to doing web series. "The platform can be anything. The reach for a web series is phenomenal these days, and a different crowd is consuming that content."
The selection of roles has made Bobby Simha what he is now. He has carved out a space that only he can fill. “I make sure that I do not repeat myself. I choose roles that challenge me as an actor.”
Bobby Simha doesn’t want to repeat himself. He cites Rajinikanth, as an example. “Look at Thalaivar. He acted in a Billa and also pulled off Thillu Mullu. I, too, do not want to be typecast.”
On the other hand, Bobby Simha has Kamal Haasan-Shankar film, Indian 2, in the pipeline. Apart from this, the actor is headlining Vasantha Mullai, helmed by debutant Ramana Purushothama.
Produced by SRT Entertainment and Mudhra's Film Factory, Vasantha Mullai is an edge-of-the-seat thriller and features Kashmira Pardeshi as the female lead.
The film has music by Rajesh Murugesan (known for Premam and Neram) with Gopi Amarnath handling the cinematography.
In Tamil, the actor was last seen in Vikram's Mahaan, which streams on Amazon Prime Video.
