Vicky Arora has proved himself to be a worthy contender in the list of Bollywood’s rising stars. The actor has earned recognition for his roles on shows such as Beecham House and more recently, Amazon Prime Video’s crime thriller Akkad Bakkad Rafu Chakkar. But his journey to stardom has not been smooth, revealed the star.
In conversation with Hindustan Times, the actor unveiled that when he had started his acting journey in 2012, he had had to undergo a series of painful rejections. The star talked about how at times he went on at least three auditions everyday, sometimes even when he was sick. Keeping track of the total number of auditions he had attended in his career, the star revealed that it was over 6000 in number and that he had some very unsavoury experiences during some.
Aurora recounted how he had been ‘horrified’ at some of the obscene propositions that had been laid before him, and how some people had urged him to go in for stifling compromises. He also said that he had had to go through instances of casting couch. He also talked about how he faced such struggles by himself as he could not reveal the full extent of it to his loved ones, at the risk of worrying them.
Steeling himself against such unwanted advances and never giving up had been the secret to his success, added the actor. He also left future generations with the advice that they had to be careful and alert when dealing with such situations.
