While speaking to Pinkvilla recently, Vicky, who will be seen essaying the role of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj in the Laxman Utekar directorial, Chhaava, was asked about Katrina's films that he enjoys watching, and he was prompt with his reply. He said he likes Welcome (2007) and Singh Is Kinng (2008). While Vicky 'really enjoyed' Anees Bazmee's Singh Is Kinng, he finds the Akshay Kumar, Nana Patekar, and Anil Kapoor starrer Welcome to be a 'brilliant' film. He said, "I think that was one of the most brilliant, entertaining films."
Welcome was released in 2007 and to date, it remains a fan favorite. Every now and then, scenes of Welcome are used for memes on social media. Youngsters even use Nana Patekar's dialogue 'Control Uday Control' in their routine conversations with friends. Well, Vicky Kaushal is one of us it seems. In the same interview, he revealed that he uses the same dialogue at home. The actor said, "Main to kayi baar unko bhi bol deta hoon, kabhi kabhi kuch hota hai, 'Control Uday, Control."
Katrina and Vicky secretly dated for quite some time and later tied the knot in December 2021. The duo chose to celebrate their union in Rajasthan, far away from the public eye. Recently, they celebrated their 3rd wedding anniversary.
Meanwhile, Vicky Kaushal's Chhaava is all set to hit the big screens on February 14, 2025. The film also features Rashmika Mandanna and Akshaye Khanna in key roles.
