Vicky Kaushal was recently seen in the blockbuster Chhaava, while Kartik Aaryan is gearing up for Naagzilla and Anurag Basu's film starring Sreeleela. Now, a report suggests that both actors have loved the script of Amaran director Rajkumar Periasamy's Hindi debut. Rajkumar, who directed Sivakarthikeyan and Sai Pallavi's superhit Amaran, is all set for his Hindi debut with a film. But who will lead the film? Vicky or Kartik?
Amaran director's Hindi film debut
Pinkvilla reported that Amaran director Rajkumar Periasamy will make his Hindi debut with a film. For the lead, either Vicky Kaushal or Kartik Aaryan will be considered. For now, both actors have loved the script.
The source revealed, “Rajkumar Periasamy’s next is a high-concept actioner, in a space not seen before. The story is aided with strong emotions and warrants the presence of a young star, who is also a credible performer. The top two picks at the moment are either of Vicky Kaushal and Kartik Aaryan."

The source further added that the makers are looking forward to hearing back from Kartik and Vicky, and clarification on the casting will come soon, but discussions suggest that both the protagonists really liked the script and the treatment approach.
"It’s just about sorting out the dates, as Kartik and Vicky have their calendars packed with multiple films. Either of the two will definitely spearhead the film,” the source added.
Meanwhile, the portal also mentioned that the film is scheduled to go on floors in the first quarter of 2026, and the prep work will begin by the end of 2025.

Vicky, who was recently seen in Chhaava, has Love & War in the pipeline. Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, the film also stars Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor in the lead roles. It will be released in 2026.
Meanwhile, Kartik is slated to star in Naagzilla, a horror-comedy film set for release in 2026. He also has a romantic film with Sreeleela in the pipeline, directed by Anurag Basu.
