The last time that Vicky Kaushal saw his poster up in theatres was in 2019 for his hit film, Uri: The Surgical Strike. Although he had one release — Govinda Naam Mera — in 2022, it was released on an OTT platform. So, the actor is thrilled that after three long years, another film of his is finally being released in theatres.

Vicky will next be seen alongside Sara Ali Khan in the film Zara Hatke Zara Bachke, and both the actors are leaving no stone unturned to promote their film.

Earlier today, Vicky and Sara took over Mumbai’s Juhu Chowpatty, where they rode on top of an autorickshaw and danced to the beats of dhols. It was a colourful and fun promotional event before they made their way to a press conference to promote their film.

Vickly got quite candid at the press conference, at which he spoke about his cross-cultural marriage with Katrina Kaif, his co-stars, and more. One interesting thing that he revealed was that he felt "nervous" before the event, since he thought that he might have "lost touch".

Vicky said, "My last film was released before the COVID-19 pandemic hit, so it feels like it's been an eternity since I last had a (theatrical) release. I was a little nervous about attending this event as well, because I thought that I might have lost touch."

The Sam Bahadur actor then revealed what it was that made him say yes to Zara Hatke Zara Bachke.

"I agreed to do this film because it is a family film, one that I want to watch with my family. We shot this film with the Maddock family (Maddock Films) and my wonderful co-stars, who all felt like family," said Vicky.

The actor looked genuinely moved when he said that he was happy to be interacting with the media after so long, whom he also called his family.

He said, "It also feels good to be back with my media parivaar. I really missed interacting with all of you."

Vicky and Sara play a married couple in Zara Hatke Zara Bachke, the trailer of which was released earlier today.

The film will be released in theatres on June 2.
