After the massive success of Animal, the excitement around its sequel Animal Park is at its peak. The controversial film starring Ranbir Kapoor now gets another add-on to the ensemble cast. If reports are to be believed, Sandeep Reddy Vanga's sequel will have Vicky Kaushal as the bad boy.

Although there is no official confirmation for the same, the news came as an excitement among the fans who are ready to witness Vicky Kaushal lock horns with Ranbir Kapoor in intense fight scenes. Bobby Deol, who played the antagonist in Animal and received a lot of love from the audience for his performance will now be replaced by Vicky, according to sources from Instant Bollywood.

If these reports are true then it will be interesting to see Ranbir and Vicky's fight scenes on the big screens. Animal Park is already making headlines and has sent the fans into a frenzy since its announcement and now the recent buzz around Kaushal joining the team adds another layer of excitement. Also, Ranbir and Vicky have never shared the screen space so their coming together for the first time will be a cinematic clash.

Animal vs Sam Bahadur clash at the box office

Interestingly, Sam Bahadur, starring Vicky Kaushal was released in theaters clashing Ranbir Kapoor's Animal. Both the films were released on December 1, 2023.

Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Animal explored the toxic relationship between a father (Anil Kapoor) and a son (Ranbir Kapoor). The film also starred Rashmika Mandanna and Triptii Dimri. The film received mixed reviews from the critics. While some praised the film for its performances, music, and cinematography, a portion also called out the film for glorification of toxic masculinity, misogynistic themes, and violence.

After the massive box office success of Animal, the official announcement for Animal Park came in December 2023. T-series announced the news on their social media account writing: "It's a collaboration founded on trust, powered by creative freedom, and strengthened by an unshakable commitment. Producer Bhushan Kumar and Director #SandeepReddyVanga present the next cinematic wonders—Prabhas' Spirit, Animal Park, and an Allu Arjun saga—following the phenomenal success of Kabir Singh and #Animal."
