Kabir Khan is one of the most popular filmmakers in the industry. He has directed films such as Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Ek Tha Tiger, Chandu Champion, and more. Recently, news has spread that he is in talks for a film with Vicky Kaushal and this could also be Vicky's first onscreen collaboration with wife Katrina Kaif. Now, in an interview, the director addressed these reports.

Vicky Kaushal to feature in Kabir Khan's movie?

In an interview with News18 Showsha, Kabir Khan said that he would love to work with Vicky Kaushal as his equation with him transcends professional boundaries. 

“Vicky is one of the finest actors that we have. He’s family to me. I’m extremely close to both Vicky and Katrina. So, I would love to work with him. At the end of the day, we as directors and actors, keep discussing ideas. There’s nothing concrete right now that can make me say that yes, we’re doing something together. But yes, I’ve been speaking to him," he said.

Kabir Khan on collaborating with Kartik Aaryan

Kabir directed Kartik Aaryan in Chandu Champion. He revealed that he’s also in talks with both Salman Khan and Kartik Aaryan for other projects. He said that he is also been speaking to Salman. 

"Any time I meet actors, we keep ideating. I keep ideating with Kartik too. I’m in – what I like to call – the development phase. There are two-three ideas that I’ve been very excited about. I decided to take six-seven months off before jumping into a production," he shared.

My Melbourne

Meanwhile, featuring the collaborative efforts of four famous Indian filmmakers—Kabir Khan, Imtiaz Ali, Rima Das, and Onir—My Melbourne will hit theatres in India on March 14, 2025. It is an anthology of four stories set in Melbourne.

Setara, helmed by Kabir Khan, is based on the true story of a girl from Afghanistan. She escaped the Taliban at the age of 15 to rebuild her life in Melbourne. Despite family difficulties and previous tragedies, she discovered a sense of connection and perseverance through cricket.
