Victoria, which is helmed by Sivaranjini J, will be released in theatres on this Friday (November 28). The movie, which will only be available on a limited number of screens, has received high appreciation from both reviewers and audiences after its run at a film festival. Victoria release date

The one hour and 25 minutes movie will open in theatres on November 28. There are currently no other Malayalam films scheduled for the big screen on the same day.

The film's protagonist is Victoria, a young beautician who decides to leave with her Hindu lover after a sour dispute with her traditional Catholic parents. Meanwhile, the trailer shows a turbulent day in her life when a neighbour asks her to temporarily keep a rooster for offering inside her parlour for a feast at St George Church. The one-minute video shows glimpses of Victoria's struggle with contradictory emotions as she deals with her partner's disinterest and the rooster's antics, in addition to managing what she does.

Apart from Meenakshi Jayan who plays the protagonist, Sreeshma Chandran, Jolly Chirayath, Steeja Mary, Darsana Vikas, Jeena Rajeev, and Remadevi also had significant roles in Victoria. Director Sivaranjini J. wrote and edited the film, while Anand Ravi handled the camera work. The film's soundtracks were composed by Abhaydev Praful and is supported by Kerala Government.
