We are just a week away from the release of Ajith Kumar-starrer action thriller Vidaamuyarchi. The film, which is scheduled to release for Pongal, is now coming out on February 6. With so much buzz going around it, director Magizh Thirumeni who made his maiden film with Ajith, is confident that it will be a good film, but has also asked the audience to come with an open mind. Magizh Thirumeni says Vidaamuyarchi has no mass elements

Director Magizh Thirumeni and actor Ajith Kumar joined hands for Vidaamuyarchi which is hitting big screens on February 6. The film is an action thriller, which also stars Trisha, Arjun, Regina Cassandra, Arav, Nikhil Nair and others.

Ahead of the film’s release, Magizh in an interview said, "It is a very interesting film and will engage you. It is a mainstream Tamil film and about a common man's story." Calling it a "wonderful film", Magizh requested the audience to come with an open heart. "It is a fantastic film. There are no punch dialogues or a grand entry for Ajith sir, no massive build-up or interval block. But it will satisfy the audience, including the fans,” he added.

Magizh Thirumeni also added that it was Ajith Kumar who did not want any massy elements in the film, and that it was the director who wanted to include such elements. The director also spoke about the negativity that spread across surrounding the project and how it was Ajith who gave the much-needed positivity to him.

Netflix has bagged the post-theatrical streaming rights of the film. Produced by Lyca Productions, the film will stream on the platform after the theatrical run. Anirudh Ravichander has scored the music, and Om Prakash has cranked the camera. Vidaamuyarchi will hit theatres on February 6.
