Ajith Kumar's Vidaamuyarchi is set for release on February 6, after two years since his last film Thunivu

With just day left for the release of Ajith Kumar's Vidaamuyarchi, tickets for the action thriller have been selling like hot cakes. The film is due to hit theatres on February 6, has already made a pre-sales business of over Rs 10 crore for the first day.
Actor Ajith Kumar, who was last seen in Thunivu (2023), is going to witness the release of his film after two years. Titled Vidaamuyarchi, the film has been garnering enough buzz from his fans, and is all set to hit theatres on February 6, Thursday.
As per a Pinkvilla report, the film has already sold nearly 6 lakh tickets so far, and recorded a pre-sales business of Rs 10.5 crore. It is expected to increase, given there is one more day left for the release. The film has to definitely has to make more than that during the release collection to enter into the profitable zone. Vidaamuyarchi will also see soaring ticket sales in neighbouring states, including Kerala, Karnataka, and Telangana. The report also suggested that Vidaamuyarchi has already solidified with Rs 21 crore with the advance bookings for the opening weekend, from February 6-9.
Vidaamuyarchi shows will begin as early as 6 am in Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, and in few places in Kerala. However, in Tamil Nadu, 9 am will be the first show, given how the state government is stern on FDFS timings.
Vidaamuyarchi is written and directed by Magizh Thirumeni and stars Trisha, Arjun, Regina Cassandra, Aarav, Nikhil Nair, and others. The film is backed by Lyca Productions and has music by Anirudh Ravichander.
Netflix has bagged the post-theatrical streaming rights of Vidaamuyarchi. The Ajith Kumar-starrer will be the first biggie to release in Tamil this year. Enjoying a solo release, the film is expected to garner much attention from audience and fans over the weekend.
