Loyal to genre

Even as Vidaamuyarchi is headlined by Ajith Kumar who has a massive fanbase, Vidaamuyarchi sticks to its genre of sleek action drama which happens during a road trip. The film does away with unwanted star glorifications, and instead concentrates on pure filmmaking and execution, while being loyal to the story.

Vidaamuyarchi was majorly shot in Azerbaijan, as the led couple are shown to take a road trip from Baku to Tbilisi. Having said that, the film shows the arid and long landscapes of the place as the major backdrop. The locales are also new to Tamil cinema, which makes the visual language of the action thriller appear unique.

Strong characterisations

Vidaamuyarchi has equal and important space for all characters to perform. Apart from Ajith Kumar and Trisha who play the lead pair, actors Arjun Sarja, Regina Cassandra and Aarav who also play prominent roles in the film, get fair share of scope to perform and do no get overshadowed by Ajith Kumar’s presence.

Anirudh’s powerful score

Anirudh Ravichander has scored the music for Vidaamuyarchi, with the background score much talked about. One of the key factors of the film, is how it seamlessly blends in with the story.
