Vidaamuyarchi was majorly shot in Azerbaijan, as the led couple are shown to take a road trip from Baku to Tbilisi. Having said that, the film shows the arid and long landscapes of the place as the major backdrop. The locales are also new to Tamil cinema, which makes the visual language of the action thriller appear unique.

Anirudh Ravichander has scored the music for Vidaamuyarchi, with the background score much talked about. One of the key factors of the film, is how it seamlessly blends in with the story.

Ajith Kumar and Trisha once again joined hands for Vidaamuyarchi after release of Mankatha and Yennai Arindhal. One of the most loved pairs onscreen, Trisha and Ajith Kumar play a married couple who are on the verge of separation. The film also delves into their characters’ personal lives, giving more way for the actors to exhibit their chemistry.
