Soori surely has emerged as a 'hero' with Vetri Maaran's latest outing Viduthalai Part 1. Soori plays an earnest cop Kumaresan, who is roped in for Operation Ghost Hunt, aimed at capturing Vaathiyar (Vijay Sethupathi), the leader of a separatist group. The actor, who made his debut as a lead actor with the film, has been basking in the rave reviews for his performance in the action drama.
And that's not all. The actor has performed some breathtaking action sequences, too, in his debut. Soori has now dropped a BTS picture with the stunt choreographer of the film, Peter Hein. In the picture, the film's director Vetri Maaran and Soori, are keenly listening to the stunt choreographer as he seems to explain the nuances of the stunts. He wrote on his social media handle, "Many stunt scenes from #ViduthalaiPartt1 have been highly appreciated. It is entirely due to the incredible work of Master Peter Hein and his team. Heartfelt thanks @PeterHeinOffl @rsinfotainment #Viduthalai #Vetrimaaran (sic)."
The actor has also penned a note in which he thanked the audience for making the first instalment of Viduthalai a successful one. The film, which is an adaptation of B Jeyamohan's Thunaivan, revolves around the emotions of an honest and earnest cop.
Soori had earlier revealed that Vetri Maaran had narrated two scripts to him before Viduthalai, but both didn't materialise due to multiple reasons. He also stated how he had eagerly waited to work with the director and that he had many sleepless nights as well. Soori also thanked Vijay Sethupathi, who has been a constant support throughout his career. The actor stated during the film's audio launch that Vijay Sethupathi was the first person to congratulate him after watching the rushes of the film. He also said that the actor had thanked Vetri Maaran for launching Soori as the hero.
